I am pleased to announce that Annual conference of Association of Medical Biochemists of India, West Bengal Chapter AMBICON (WB) 2016 will be held at N.R.S. Medical College, 138, AJC Bose Rd, Kolkata 700 014. The tentative date for the same is 24.12.2016, which will be preceded by a C.M.E and quiz contest for PGTs.

Rs. 1200 for faculties, delegates associate delegates and service PGT s

Rs. 1000 for Non service PGTs

 (PGTs are required to submit a certificate regarding their post graduate tenure from concerned HODs)

*If accreditation hour can be awarded, then a separate fee may be charged, which will be announced later.

Abstract Submission

Faculties & post-graduate trainees are requested to submit abstract on their original research work for Oral/ Poster presentation during conference.

Guidelines for Abstract Preparation

1. It should be un structured
2. Maximum word limit should be 250, excluding title and college affiliation
3. There should be no reference
4. The name of the presenting author should be underlined.
5. Last day for submission of abstract: 15th November, 2016.

Please note that

1. Faculties will present in scientific session 1. The duration of their presentation will be announced subsequently.
2. 3^rd year PGTs will only be considered for oral presentation and will be will be considered for awarding prize. They will present their work in scientific session 2.
3. 2^nd year PGTs can submit poster of the size: 90cm/130cm

Guidelines for Poster Preparation

1. Font face       :    Times New Roman
2. Font size        :    12
3. Line spacing  :    1.5
4. The body should contain the following information

Introduction/ Aims and objectives/ Materials and methods/Results and observations/Conclusion

On 23.12.2016, there will be a Quiz contest which will be exclusively for PGTs with the following guidelines:

• Quiz will be based on basic and clinical biochemistry
• A team should comprise a maximum of 2 members of any year
• Any number of entries can be submitted from a particular institute
• Participants  must be a member of AMBI
• Each team member must be registered for the conference AMBICON 2016
• A letter from the respective HOD is mandatory as a proof of undergoing PG in a institute.
• The decision of the quiz master will be final
• Last date for registering names is 15th November 2016.
• All names should be sent to dr.sayantandasgupta@gmail.com with a copy to guptasomarusa@yahoo.com.
